Coquitos. Very yummy creamy tropical coconut eggnog made with spices and white rum. It is always requested at my holiday gatherings. (And sometimes gets selfishly hidden in the fridge by the hostess.) Serve in glass cups and sprinkle with more cinnamon if desired. Coquito meaning "Little Coconut" in Spanish is a traditional Christmas drink that originated in Puerto Rico.

Coquitos Eggs and other spices and flavoring can be added, such as ginger, lemon. Coquitos closely resemble coconuts in appearance but are much smaller and do not contain any liquid. Coquitos instrucciones

  1. Cogemos las claras las ponemos en un cazo con el azúcar y hacemos como un almíbar.
  2. Cuando estén buen intwgradas las sacamos del fuego y las pasamos a un bol.
  3. En bol ponemos el coco.la vainilla y la canela.
  4. Lo integranos muy bien y dejamos que se enfríe.
  5. Seguidamentw tendremos el horno a 150 gr arriba y abajo.
  6. Cojerenos haremos bolitas y las pondremos en capaulas de magdalenas.
  7. Le pondremos media cereza y al horno 15 minutos.
  8. Una vez pasado el tiempo sacaremoa dejaremos enfriar y a comer.

I experienced this for the first time last year and I can not get enough. My friend gave me the recipe and she makes it only at christmas, she fills wine bottles with it and then makes them look pretty and gives them as gifts. This traditional Puerto Rican cocktail tastes like a very thick and creamy coconut eggnog. It's very rich, so you can serve it over ice, if preferred, to dilute it a little. Feel free to increase or decrease the amount of rum depending on how strong you like it.
